How to Plant
Enjoy your calendar first. When you are ready, give the seed paper its next chapter.
Before you begin
Check the seed variety and growing instructions supplied with your calendar. The best planting time, light and temperature depend on the seeds and your location.
What you will need
- Your seed-paper calendar card
- A pot with drainage and planting soil, or a suitable garden space
- Water and a spot with appropriate light
1. Moisten the paper
Gently wet the seed paper so that it softens. Follow any soaking instructions included with your calendar.
2. Plant your card
Place the softened paper on moist soil and cover lightly, following the planting depth recommended for the seeds. Use a container with drainage so excess water can escape.
3. Keep it moist
Water gently and check the soil regularly. Keep it moist without leaving the pot waterlogged. Place it where the seed variety can receive suitable light and warmth.
4. Care for new growth
Germination timing varies with seed type and growing conditions. Once seedlings appear, follow the care instructions and give them more room when needed.
Not ready to plant yet?
Store unused cards in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. The illustration on a card does not replace the seed information supplied with the product.
